渦輪世代來臨，第十代HONDA Civic將導入Turbo VTEC渦輪增壓引擎

2015日內瓦車展HONDA不僅久違多時終於發表性能前驅Civic Type-R量產版，更將全球知名體質優異的HONDA VTEC引擎推向新渦輪世代，這也就代表HONDA過往自然進氣的設定將逐漸改變，未來有可能會將Turbo引擎列為配置主力，且還不只拘限於性能車，連各地暢銷的Civic也將從第十代車型有所躍進。
2010年底HONDA中型房車Civic進入第9代銷售車型，其順應市場的柔和線條與舒適定位，讓新Civic剛登場時飽受美國市場批評。因此很快在2012年洛杉磯車展上，HONDA為挽回聲譽就搶先推出小改Civic並販售至今。算算這一代Civic也問市近5年，依照熱門車款的銷售周期而言，Civic似乎也到了大改款時間了！
而有關全新第十代Civic的消息，在日前終於有相關消息傳出。表示為提高Civic的燃油經濟性和大幅降低排汙，HONDA已經打算將Turbo渦輪增壓引擎導入全新Civic。對此，HONDA全球研發負責人山本善治也說到，導入小排氣量引擎已經是未來趨勢，就連未來的新Civic也無法避免。間接承認新Civic會採用Turbo渦輪引擎的計畫。
不過目前尚未有更多第十代Civic動力規格的細節，不過這份保告中依然提到，新Civic還是會保留2.0L甚至2.5L的自然進氣引擎可選，而Turbo渦輪增壓引擎的排氣量則設置在1.5L，如此一來引擎輸出的效能就能媲美2.0L或2.5L，並能給予較注重燃油、排放規範的地區銷售。最後全新設計的第十代最快在2015年底就會現身，屆時也將會有更多的規格可確認。
