為開創與眾不同的SUV型態，HONDA在2009年11月時以第八代Accord底盤平台為基礎，發展出外貌流線且運動感十足的Crosstour，而原廠當時更將此產品定位在CUV跨界休旅車（Crossover Utility Vehicle），也算是現行火熱的Crossover始祖之一。不過隨著消費市場的改變，Crosstour也在2015年於HONDA新銷售策略下完成階段性任務。

北美HONDA日前發出新聞稿表示，Crosstour將不會有2016年式車型，並會在2015年稍晚時停產。而原本美國俄亥俄州East Liberty的車輛生產基地，將擴大生產新CR-V、ACURA RDX等車，來滿足市場需求。而雖然HONDA曾努力想保持Crosstour的銷量，但從2015年至今卻已經下跌38％並只賣出2046輛，讓原廠察覺到美國購車市場的改變。

不過在2015年北美HONDA就有許多新車計畫要執行，包括稍晚開售的小型都會Crossover車款HR-V，以及接下來2015年秋天登場的全新第10代Civic等車，都能用來填補Crosstour所空下的的銷售數量。且HONDA更透露，全新Civic在美國市場將會再擴展銷售陣容，除原本的房車、雙門車型等，未來掀背或五門車型也都會入列，提供更多選擇。

此外從2016年開始，HONDA於2014年停產的Ridgeline貨卡，也將以全新第二代的姿態投入美國市場競爭。而為了提供更好的車輛品質，Accord Hybrid的生產線也會從美國Marysville Auto Plant（MAP）移到日本埼玉縣西南部的狹山市。此舉是為了讓MAP廠可以更專注Accord Sedan、Accord Coupe、ACURA TLX 以及ILX性能車型的生產作業，以最快的速度與品質提供給美國消費者。
