新全尺寸休旅時代，美國HONDA Pilot量產啟動

面對美國全尺寸（車身長度超過5000mm）的休旅市場需求，HONDA早在2002年時就推出第一代Pilot來對應，並在2015年底特律車展時發展到第三代車型。在加入HONDA新設計語彙，以及全新3.5L V6引擎的配置下，不僅讓新Pilot有著優越的競爭能力，亦使HONDA在美國休旅車市場的銷售陣容更加完備。
2015年5月底美國HONDA特地發出新聞稿表示，有1500名員工在HMA廠（HONDA Manufacturing of Alabama）慶祝全新第三代Pilot開始量產。而在這開創HONDA新休旅時代的當下，HMA廠總裁Jeff Tomko也開心表示：「我必須要和員工一同慶賀，以最高品質的前提於HMA廠生產超越客戶期待的全新Pilot。」
事實上第三代Pilot的設計以及研發生產等全都在美國當地完成，包括HONDA位於洛杉磯的設計工作室、俄亥俄州的研發中心等，讓Pilot能更符合美國民眾的用車需求。而早些日子以前，HONDA也對外公佈新Pilot的美國售價，雖然比起上代Pilot小幅增漲125美元（新Pilot售價為29995美元、約新台幣92萬元），不過卻有著更先進的車體架構與新引擎應用。
而新Pilot的加入，也讓HONDA在美國休旅車市場的陣容更完備，包括有年度美國最暢銷SUV，以及多用途運動休旅首選的CR-V，以及才在2015年初推出的都會Crossover作品HR-V，全面涵蓋休旅大、中、小的級距需求。而未來2016年初，HMA廠也將增加全新第二代Ridgeline在此生產，將目前HONDA在美國市場所缺乏的Pickup（貨卡）車款補齊。
