    終究不敵市場衰退,HONDA Accord將退出英國市場

繼先前VW宣布將讓旗艦房車Phaeton退出英國銷售市場之後,如今HONDA也不約而同宣布將讓Accord這款歷史悠久的旗艦房車退出英國市場,儘管Phaeton與Accord在價格與定位上有著差異,但相同的房車身分卻是讓兩者命運相結合成為現代英國消費者喜好之下的犧牲品。

現行HONDA在歐洲所販售的Accord與台灣常見的美規車型有很大的不同,歐洲所販售的是車體與車室空間皆較小、定位較為運動化的中型房車,與日規版本Accord基本相同,屬於舊款的第八世代產品。問世於2008年、車身尺碼為4726×1840×1440mm的八代歐規Accord,車型世代相較於主要對手Mondeo、Mazda 6、Avensis與Passat來說顯得較無競爭力,如此車款定位在消費者更為偏好掀背車與小型SUV的英國市場便更顯劣勢。據了解2014年Accord在英國僅繳出慘澹的518輛銷售成績,因此退出英國市場成為HONDA不得不為的銷售策略。

在確定Accord退出英國市場之後,HONDA英國現有販售車型便僅剩Jazz(Fit)、歐規Civic、歐規Civic Tourer與CR-V,如此產品線可說是完全針對英國消費者的喜好而生。未來英國HONDA也將鎖定消費者的眼光,陸續導入新世代Jazz、HR-V等車款滿足一般群眾的消費需求。此外Civic Type-R與NSX等專注於性能表現的車款也在未來英國HONDA的引進名單之中,肯定令台灣的消費者羨慕無比。

據了解HONDA目前並沒有開發歐規9代Accord的後續計畫,且由於產品世代漸趨老舊,除了正式退出英國市場外,2015年2月HONDA也正式終止日規與大洋洲規格車款的量產,也讓持續販售歐規Accord的地區僅剩下歐洲、以色列與土耳其。相較於9代美規Accord的穩定銷量,HONDA過往這種大玩歐、美規兩套標準的作法應該會在HR-V全球戰略車問世與歐規Civic進軍美國市場之後逐漸淡出,往後車款應不會再有歐規與美歸市場的區分。
