第10代HONDA Civic確認2015年秋季登場，現行Hybrid及CNG不再續賣

2015年紐約車展上HONDA發表Civic Concept概念車，替全新第10代Civic展開預告。有趣的是，因為2011年美規第9代Civic的市場導向設計，使得消費者評價兩極，HONDA甚至為了挽回車輛本質，罕見的在2012年洛杉磯車展就推出小改款車型。因此全新第10代Civic不會再走這樣的銷售策略，而是直接給消費者想要的Civic！

日前美國HONDA執行副總裁John Mendel接受媒體採訪時提到，第10代Civic已經排定在2015年秋季亮相。且他再次強調，新Civic將提供豐富的駕駛樂趣、性能/節能兼備的燃油效率，以及車輛安全性。John Mendel透露新Civic會有兩款動力可選，並以領先同級的油耗表現為目標，讓新Civic的油耗成績來到17.0km/L（美國EPA預測）。

不過隨著新引擎的開發與節能表現提升，現行Civic銷售陣容中的Civic Hybrid（複合動力）以及Civic CNG（天然氣）也將不再繼續販售，預計生產至2015車型結束。即便在過去15年HONDA在美國一直是CNG車型的專業製造商，但加氣設施的建構數量，一直是銷量無法突破的主因，就如同Civic Hybrid車型，就算它是現行美國主流中型房車中的唯一之選，但消費者還是需要更低碳排量的節能車款，而不單單只有Hybrid而已。

因此John Mendel進一步透露，HONDA正在開發一款全新電動車，以及Plug-In Hybrid（插電式複合動力）車款，不僅可填補Hybrid車型的空缺，更能直接滿足節能市場的需求。而在此之前，HONDA新世代氫燃料電池車也將在2016年登場。全面改朝換代的動力更新，只為了讓消費者能夠選擇到最合適的產品，並穩固既有客源外，再拓展其他市場。
