近期TAKATA引起的氣囊召回事件，多發生在美國車廠上，和台灣市場的產品關連不高。不過近日TOYOTA及HONDA接連對旗下產品，發出氣囊瑕疵的召回，且部分車型與台灣所販售的產品相同，值得消費者密切注意。

TOYOTA近日針對前乘客座座所使用的氣囊，額外增加了總數達137萬輛的召回，包含2003-2007年生產的TOYOTA Corolla、Matrix，2005-2006年生產的Tundra貨卡，2005-2007年生產的Sequoia，以及2003-2007年生產的LEXUS SC430。在發出本次召回後，因TAKATA氣囊瑕疵而受影響的TOYOTA車型，總數已經超過291萬輛。

HONDA是最早發現TAKATA氣囊瑕疵的車廠之一，近年來已經因為駕駛側氣囊瑕疵，在美國發出了涵蓋數百萬量產品的召回，不過近日HONDA同樣針對副駕駛座氣囊，發出了總數超過139萬輛的召回。車型主要為2001-2005年的Civic，以及2003-2007年生產並配置四缸引擎的Accord車型，依據NHTSA的統計，HONDA旗下針對副駕駛座氣囊發出的召回已經高達230萬輛。

其中台灣自2001年上市的TOYOTA Corolla，即為美規版本車型，Tundra貨卡也有貿易商少量引進台灣販售，台灣所販售的LEXUS SC430也與美國召回年份重疊。在HONDA部分，台灣所販售的美規Civic及Accord車型也在召回年份範圍中。依照慣例，台灣原廠必須待母廠發出相關通知後，才會進行後續召回計畫，AutoNet將密切注意後續發展。
