    老車才有瘋狂的本錢,HONDA Prelude雙引擎大改現身

在汽車產品大量邁入電子化之後,我們便時常在言談之中聽到或是討論起過往老車的美好,比起難搞又昂貴的模組化電子零件,90年代之前的老車因為電子零件干涉少且可透過修改、流用進行改裝提升車輛性能,相對的也更具有可玩性,導致現今雖然各式各樣先進且安全、舒適的新車不斷推出,卻依然有不少愛車人士在選購新車代步之餘,內心卻總是掛念著家中另一輛經過精心照顧的大玩具。

除了好改又好玩之外,這類老車可還有著一大好處,那就是通常價格也都因為年份較高,只要是曾經大量生產過的車型都很容易能找到物美價廉的車款,即使是拿來大改特改、甚至抱持著「玩壞就再找一台」心態的車主也大有人在。在這樣的想法鼓吹之下,很容易就出現許多令人跌破眼鏡或天馬行空的獨特改裝,而這輛HONDA Prelude雙引擎動力便是在這樣的想法下出現的。

HONDA Prelude是一款生產年份介於1987-2001年,歷經五個世代車型的雙門跑車,隨著地區不同而有不同版本或動力的差異。而這輛美規版本的Prelude屬於五代車型,搭載排氣量為2.2L的H22A雙凸VTEC引擎,採前輪驅動設定且原廠便擁有200hp馬力。然而經過雙引擎巧手改造之後,除了原有前置引擎之外車主也在駕駛座之後額外安裝一具原廠H22A動力單元,並透過自製連動機構同步前後引擎的節氣門開度,採前引擎驅動前輪、中置引擎驅動後輪的另類AWD配置,變速箱則同樣採用自製連桿驅動前後變速箱。

在這樣巧手改裝之下車主宣稱這輛車能在4.5秒完成0-100km/h加速,且最大加速推力達到0.8G的驚人程度,此外引擎的VTEC開啟轉數設定在5000rpm,保有HONDA引擎令人著迷的特性。這輛車也擁有完好的冷氣功能與自製駕駛艙隔板,確保後引擎的高溫與噪音能夠被適當隔離。事實上這輛車在改裝完成、享受駕馭樂趣之後車主便決定將其脫手轉讓,可惜的是這輛外型平凡、內裝卻極其複雜的手工改裝車僅僅賣出了9600美金的價格,折合台幣約29.7萬元,比起車主原本設定約19500美金的預售價格差了一大截。
