衣錦榮歸！HONDA Civic Type R將在2015年第3季回銷日本市場

HONDA新任社長八郷隆弘在他的就任儀式上宣布，英國製的HONDA Civic Type R車型，將在2015年秋季時回銷日本。英國是全新Civic Type R率先上市的地區，也是Civic五門車型的全球生產重鎮，第一輛Civic Type R上週在英國斯溫頓（Swindon）工廠正式下線。
歐洲HONDA的資深副總裁Philip Ross表示，「我們樂見歐洲生產的Civic Type R能夠回銷給HONDA母國的日本消費者，這是一款能夠帶來豐富駕駛樂趣的車款，在歐洲也獲得熱烈的市場反應，出口回日本只會進一步增加需求。」
Civic Type R的下線突顯了斯溫頓工廠在HONDA全球生產鏈的重要地位，近期原廠已經投資了2億英鎊，讓擁有超過3000名員工的斯溫頓工廠，繼續成為下一代Civic五門車型的全球生產樞紐。
自2014年底開始接單後，英國售價自29995英鎊（約台幣145萬元）起跳的Civic Type R，已經收到超過800張的訂單，Philip Ross表示接單狀況遠超原廠預期。目前Civic Type R除了在右駕的英國及日本上市，在左駕的德國等歐洲其他地區也將依序開賣，不過在歐洲以外的左駕市場上市計畫則尚未明朗，目前僅知美國可能要到2017年才有希望上市。
