黑色新興勢力！HONDA在奈及利亞成立非洲首座汽車工廠，年產1000輛Accord房車

HONDA在日本時間7月13日宣布，在非洲奈及利亞（Nigeria）的HONDA Accord房車生產正式上線。HONDA在奈及利亞的工廠，是由母廠全資成立的西非子公司負責營運。HONDA原廠是以現有的HONDA機車生產工廠的土地與設備為基礎，來興建全新的汽車工廠，目前每年可生產1000輛的HONDA Accord房車。這間工廠是非洲第一間HONDA汽車組裝廠。
HONDA高層山根由香表示，在非洲建立第一間汽車工廠，對HONDA來說是劃時代的挑戰。這條產線融合了HONDA在非洲機車市場長期耕耘的Know-How，將成為HONDA汽車由奈及利亞發展至全非洲的重要基礎。
早在1980年代，HONDA就開始在奈及利亞生產及銷售機車，發展了數十年在機車市場打下深厚根基，但直到2013年，HONDA才開始進口HONDA汽車至奈及利亞，跨入當地的汽車市場。為了貼近當地客戶，HONDA很快地開始進行建廠計畫。
HONDA相信非洲市場在未來將快速成長擴大，持續多年在當地汽機車等動力產品投入資源。包含2000年投入南非市場，2011年底在東非的肯亞也成立了汽機車業務辦公室，為2013年的生產及上市計畫做準備。
