佈局替代性能源！HONDA美國俄亥俄州Marysville開設CNG加氣站

全球車廠正處於Downsizing風潮之下，過往V6、V8多缸大排氣量引擎紛紛腰斬，改成小排氣量三缸、四缸引擎，性能方面改由機械、渦輪增壓入替，除此之外，也考慮到石油浩劫的問題，因此替代性能源也成為了車廠間的熱門議題，因此油電複合形式的Hybrid、插電式複合動力的PHEV、純電動、天然氣、氫燃料等都逐漸浮上檯面！
為了實踐替代性能源的發展佈局，HONDA除了在已經成為市場節能車款主流的Hybrid上投注心力外，也積極拓展其他領域替代性能源，包含壓縮天然氣（CNG）、甲烷、氫、生物質燃料等。
儘管目前多數車廠將心力放在鋰離子或氫燃料電池車，但替代性能源就像是一種賭注，待技術突破或成本適於量產就有可能由黑翻紅，因此多方發展也成為了不可避免的問題，而HONDA近日便宣布在美國俄亥俄州Marysville開設全新CNG加氣站，將有助於節能減碳的貢獻，而且鄰近HONDA的生產工廠以及幾條重要的洲際高速高路，因此負責物流的大卡車均能受惠。
在原廠執行綠色工廠（green factory）、綠色採購（purchasing）的綠能計畫中，過去13年裡，HONDA在北美的工廠已經減少了91.9%的廢棄物掩埋，截至2013年3月31日的完整會計年度，HONDA/ACURA車款生產，CO2排放量已經減少了16.2%之多。
