    大舉擴張性能路線,HONDA Civic Type R將衍生三種車體形式

作為全球HONDA車迷的精神指標,全新Civic Type R在2015年七月正式量產毫無疑問點燃了熱血車迷對於Type R這個本格派性能車款的追求,如同過去歐規Civic Type R全數在英國斯溫頓組裝廠生產的慣例,新世代歐規Civic Type R雖然將會行銷日本與美國等市場,但在產地部分依然維持英國製造的血統,不因銷售市場擴大而有所改變。對此美國HONDA似乎將會以Sedan與Coupe版本車體對應,不僅是Civic Type R首次登陸美國市場、更是首次讓Type R在美國生產。

在日本國內停產Civic之後,英國與美國成為HONDA Civic的生產重鎮,英國主要生產歐規掀背車型與Tourer旅行車款、美國則因應當地市場需求生產Sedan與Coupe車型,因此未來Civic Type R除了既有三門掀背版本之外,美國市場預料也將會以Sedan與Coupe車型生產Type R,讓Civic Type R車系大幅拓展,首次擁有三種車體形式供消費者選擇。

儘管歐規與美規十代Civic在車體、造型與內裝方面都有相當大的不同,但三種版本之間將會共用相同的2.0L VTEC Turbo引擎,該引擎可在6500rpm時提供310hp的最大馬力,並且可在2500rpm時釋放40.8kgm的強勁扭力,這樣的動力數據絕對是歷代Type-R之最,靠著這樣的動力與六速手排變速箱搭配之下,在歐規車型上可於5.7秒完成0-100km/h加速,而極速表現則是同級對手中最快的270km/h。至於在空氣力學與底盤方面則會依照車體形式不同而有所差別,但能預見的是只要掛上Type R字樣的車型就肯定不是泛泛之輩,令人期待Sedan與Coupe版Type R量產的到來。
