    2015 HONDA先進科技之旅(4):大小世紀對決,G-CON和ACE Body安全進化論

在現實社會環境中,車輛大小、高度、重量不一,萬一碰到意外撞擊時力道多有所不同,尤其小型車的安全性更讓人質疑,畢竟在民眾的觀念裡小型車總是不安全,然而看過HONDA的CR-V與Fit的撞擊測試後,絕對會一掃大家的不安與疑慮。

在HONDA的車體安全科技中,有所謂G-CON(G-Force Control Technology)和ACE(Advanced Compatibility Engineering)Body,這是為了強化保護車室乘員安全的基礎,同時也是HONDA真對旗下所有車型都能與其他不同尺碼、重量、型態與結構的車樣,在遭遇撞擊時產生最佳相容性。為了展現G-CON和ACE Body的優異設計,HONDA特別在測試中以日規CR-V 20G與Fit 1.5RS進行對決。

當然要如何針對車體結構安全做檢測?最簡單的方法就是互撞看看,所以HONDA特地安排CR-V與Fit這兩款型態、大小、重量都不同的車型,以時速60km/h進行50﹪車頭偏位撞擊。工程師以車頭中心點50﹪偏位前方撞擊為設定值,設定好後在一陣沈寂下控制中心開始倒數計時,隨後CR-V與Fit分由兩邊以時速60km/h速度逐漸接近對方,接下來一聲巨大的撞擊聲響,兩車彈開(Fit因重量較輕彈得遠)SRS氣囊跟著引爆,待煙霧散去後發現車身零件、殘骸散落一地,這時工作人員先將地板擦拭乾淨,便放行讓媒體看看這一撞的結果。

乍看之下兩車氣囊爆開,引擎蓋、車頭完全變形,但細看後發現A柱後的結構居然沒有變形,同時Fit和CR-V的外玻璃上留有撞擊痕, 原來這是車頭受到撞擊時引擎蓋上彈所致,這下我可擔心裡頭的Polar III(HONDA自行開發的第三代Dummy),不知頭部是否受到傷害。輕易地打開車門,Polar III依然完好無缺被固定在座椅上,且經過觀察腿部未變形,這可以證明在60km/h的撞擊下,CR-V與Fit的車體和安全都能防護乘員,讓生命受到最佳尊重。G-CON雨刷轉軸下滑落的饋縮式設計、引擎蓋「鉸鏈」採用可折斷式的設計的具體做法來降低行人的傷害。「雨刷轉軸饋縮」與「引擎蓋鉸鏈折斷」二者共同作動,不但可以因饋縮與折斷作動吸收部分撞擊力量,讓行人的反作用力降低;尚可以因此而使引擎蓋得以滑動,進一步吸收撞擊力量,充分降低對路上行人的傷害。

基本上G-CON和ACE Body可是HONDA最引以為傲的安全技術基準,這也是HONDA全車系的標準設計,並大幅運用在全球銷售的產品上,如今結合SRS氣囊等配備後,證明HONDA不僅著重在動力的操控樂趣,更尊重生命,尤其面對車輛性能不斷提升,要如何保障乘員安全就成為相當重要的研發方向。
