2015 SEMA車展報導：重返Baja越野卡車賽！HONDA Ridgeline賽車預覽新世代市售車

HONDA在日前便曾預告，本屆SEMA改裝車展中，將帶來北美市場相當暢銷的Pick-up貨卡車型Ridgeline的新世代預覽，為這2005年即發表、至今卻未能改款的品牌首款Pick-up新世代車型鋪路，而隨著車展開幕，Ridgeline的新世代樣貌終於有了概略雛型。
只不過畢竟是改裝車展，發表新車恐怕會模糊焦點，而且在一片改裝後猶如凶神惡煞的改裝逸品之中，新車就顯得平淡無實的多，因此HONDA也不急著在此發表第二代Ridgeline，而是改以Ridgeline賽車替代，同時宣布將重返美國著名的Baja 1000耐力賽。
HONDA在Baja Racing擁有相當長遠的歷史，包含二輪與四輪都有參賽紀錄，而Ridgeline Baja race truck是由原廠運動部門HPD與Proctor Racing Group共同開發，將採用HPD代號HR35TT、3.5L雙渦輪增壓V6賽車引擎，具備550hp的最大馬力，並依據賽事規定加裝全套的防滾架、賽車座椅、客製化懸吊等。
雖然賽車與市售車相去甚遠，但至少全新第二代Ridgeline的概略雛型有了底，不過畢竟Ridgeline過去就是與美國大型7人座休旅車Pilot共用多數零件，因此應該會以2015年初底特律車展發表的最新第三代Pilot為基礎，預計2016年上半年量產車就會發表。
