    2015 HONDA先進科技之旅(14):賽車手準備失業,路線完全一致的Automated Drive

一直以來自動駕駛就是人類的夢想,這種僅出現在科幻電影中的情節,如今也隨著電腦科技的進步而逐步實現,由HONDA自行研發的Automated Drive,是為了因應日本政府2020年計畫的最新成果,不過原廠為了讓媒體能有更深刻印象,安排在小型賽道中測試,結果發現路線之精準恐怕會讓賽車手失業!

早在兩年前我參加HONDA先進科技之旅時,就曾見識到原廠在Auto Valet Parking自動遙控停車、MC-β電動車跟車系統等的功力,時隔兩年後所有相關技術更成熟,遂在2015年以Accord為基礎所打造Automated Drive自動駕駛測試車,這可算是HONDA因應潮流所開發的新科技,藉由車內攝影鏡頭、車輛四周微波感應器以及GPS衛星導航等多種系統組合下,加上自動停車的系統結構,成功地讓車輛得以在高速公路上自行奔馳,駕駛人根本無需緊握方向盤、腳踩煞車和油門踏板,讓精神緊繃狀態繃至最高,反倒是利用車內所有裝置和電腦運算的速度,讓車輛能自動進行閃避、加減速、煞車等動作。

正因為所有要素都成熟,因此HONDA在小型測試場中讓媒體親身體驗Automated Drive,依照規劃共每一趟共三圈,第一趟先以較慢的速度讓系統熟悉路線,第二趟將速度提高至最高100km/h,最後一圈則稍微讓系統冷卻,雖然已經是先規劃路徑,我還是覺得每一圈都相當刺激,怎麼說?因為在宛如賽車場的場地中,Accord可是像軌道車般自己動起來,尤其過彎的速度不算慢,坐在一旁的我都會不由自主地想踩煞車。神奇的地方就在這裡,駛入起始點後加速至60km/h左右,一小段路程後便加速至100km/h,緊接著迎接我們的是多處彎道和直線,依循著外內外的過彎,感覺到車輛自行加減速,一出彎的再加速相當明顯,整趟下來只覺得路線分毫不差;第二趟開始信心大增,我就跟著放鬆起來。到了第三趟準備回到起始點,我抱著依依不捨的心情與Accord道別。

根據HONDA工程師透露,Automated Drive在未來僅限於高速公路上的使用,但雖然名為自動駕駛,實際上駕駛人還是不能太過分心,畢竟這僅是輔助而非全然自動化。不過HONDA已經能發展至此,若按照在封閉場地中的表現,不難想像未來搞不好賽車手都要失業,一場賽車就像賽狗一樣全部車輛自行繞著圈圈跑。
