2015 HONDA先進科技之旅（14）：賽車手準備失業，路線完全一致的Automated Drive

一直以來自動駕駛就是人類的夢想，這種僅出現在科幻電影中的情節，如今也隨著電腦科技的進步而逐步實現，由HONDA自行研發的Automated Drive，是為了因應日本政府2020年計畫的最新成果，不過原廠為了讓媒體能有更深刻印象，安排在小型賽道中測試，結果發現路線之精準恐怕會讓賽車手失業！
早在兩年前我參加HONDA先進科技之旅時，就曾見識到原廠在Auto Valet Parking自動遙控停車、MC-β電動車跟車系統等的功力，時隔兩年後所有相關技術更成熟，遂在2015年以Accord為基礎所打造Automated Drive自動駕駛測試車，這可算是HONDA因應潮流所開發的新科技，藉由車內攝影鏡頭、車輛四周微波感應器以及GPS衛星導航等多種系統組合下，加上自動停車的系統結構，成功地讓車輛得以在高速公路上自行奔馳，駕駛人根本無需緊握方向盤、腳踩煞車和油門踏板，讓精神緊繃狀態繃至最高，反倒是利用車內所有裝置和電腦運算的速度，讓車輛能自動進行閃避、加減速、煞車等動作。
正因為所有要素都成熟，因此HONDA在小型測試場中讓媒體親身體驗Automated Drive，依照規劃共每一趟共三圈，第一趟先以較慢的速度讓系統熟悉路線，第二趟將速度提高至最高100km/h，最後一圈則稍微讓系統冷卻，雖然已經是先規劃路徑，我還是覺得每一圈都相當刺激，怎麼說？因為在宛如賽車場的場地中，Accord可是像軌道車般自己動起來，尤其過彎的速度不算慢，坐在一旁的我都會不由自主地想踩煞車。神奇的地方就在這裡，駛入起始點後加速至60km/h左右，一小段路程後便加速至100km/h，緊接著迎接我們的是多處彎道和直線，依循著外內外的過彎，感覺到車輛自行加減速，一出彎的再加速相當明顯，整趟下來只覺得路線分毫不差；第二趟開始信心大增，我就跟著放鬆起來。到了第三趟準備回到起始點，我抱著依依不捨的心情與Accord道別。
根據HONDA工程師透露，Automated Drive在未來僅限於高速公路上的使用，但雖然名為自動駕駛，實際上駕駛人還是不能太過分心，畢竟這僅是輔助而非全然自動化。不過HONDA已經能發展至此，若按照在封閉場地中的表現，不難想像未來搞不好賽車手都要失業，一場賽車就像賽狗一樣全部車輛自行繞著圈圈跑。
