    2015 HONDA先進科技之旅(25):全球最受歡迎的ASIMO,超人氣無人媲美

ASIMO的誕生代表HONDA在汽、機車,以及引擎科技之外,更進一步投注在「追求夢想」、「實現挑戰」的高科技人型機器人領域,讓機器人得以早日應用在家庭與生活等實用面,這也是呼應HONDA「The Power Of Dreams」品牌精神的最佳印證。

從1986年投入雙腳步行的技術,到2000年首度實現機器人進入生活,ASIMO可稱得上全球最受歡迎、也是HONDA技術力受肯定的傑作,發展至今不斷進化,除了原先所具有完全模仿人類獨立雙足行走的功能,還可以快步、上下樓梯、繞圈子、倒行、走八字步等,連簡單的舞蹈動作、開關門、拿取物品、跳舞、辨識物體或人像及動作等較複雜的動作,甚至還可與人互動。

2007年HONDA研發出一種可根據接近的人的預期動作,讓ASIMO在後退並讓路,或繼續前進之間作出選擇,以提升暢行無阻的智慧技術。同時也研發出能夠讓ASIMO執行例如攜帶托盤和推車等任務能力的新智慧技術。另外,在電池電力降低到特定程度時ASIMO還會自動充電。

2011年ASIMO除了步行速度提高至9km/h,更藉由全新的平衡感知器進行小跑步,另外也增加閃避周遭人、物的感應器,以及更為靈巧的雙手,可以輕易開啟瓶蓋、杯蓋,甚至還會作出倒水的動作,行為上可是越來越接近人類;同時ASIMO所使用的平衡感知器也將運用在HONDA的MOTO GP賽車上,以提供騎士絕佳的平衡性;而在日本福島311大地震之後,HONDA也以相關技術挺進災區協助救援。

ASIMO所運用的最新科技,是由HONDA旗下專事研究開發的HRI-JP(HONDA Research Institutes Japan),和ART國際電氣通信基礎研究所、島津製作所共同開發的腦機介面BMI(Brain-machine Interface),是全球首度成功使用腦波控制技術,利用腦波計EEG(Electroencephalogram)與近紅外線腦計測裝置NIRS(Near infra-red spectroscopic),將頭腦想的動作傳達給ASIMO,讓ASIMO能隨著控制者的意志做出任何動作,當然這對人工智能和機器人技術可算是一大突破。
