在電動化的年代，日本車廠腳步似乎有一點慢，25日揭幕2017東京車展，各日本車可說是卯足全力，大打電動車牌，Honda本田就推出多款電動車作品，其中一款電動跑Honda Sport EV Concept，本田強調車子可以和人的思想相互溝通。

本田強調不論時代如何變化，本田品牌堅持一貫的運動化精神不變的，面對電動車時代的來臨，本田延續既定的運動化精神，推出了Honda Sports EV Concept電動概念車，強調人與車是「一心同體」，這台電動念概念車搭Honda專門發的電動車平台，並有緊湊的車身，讓駕駛者容易操掌控全車，另外它所搭載的純電力模組，有很快速的動力加速反應。

它的電動馬達具備加速線性快速，以及高寧靜度，同時具有低重心的配置，包含電模組的低置，使車子具備極佳的運動性和行路穩定性。為了讓人與車一體，這台動車座艙結合了最先進的AI人工智慧技術，建建一個所謂Honda Automated Network Assistant，也就是本田自動化網絡助理系統，讓人與車可以相相互溝通。顯然未來車主不只是用手勢或聲音來控制車子，甚至可以用思想，用腦波來控制汽車的運作。

這台車的造型承繼過往跑車的一貫的低重心與運動化風格，造型很復古，不過它的設計語彙充滿可愛風，LED的多功能圓形燈組，藉由橫柵串接，很像忍者的臉，另外有斜背式1960-1970年代跑車的風味，車側配上五輻雙爪很有未來感的跑車化輪圈，車尾造型和呼應車頭，配置LED尾燈，不過採取四方造型。至於車內的配置和動力，Honda並未提供完整資訊。
