邁向5G新紀元！HONDA將與軟銀共同研發5G網路

自動駕駛技術與車聯網科說是一體兩面的關係，雖然說目前兩者間的開發進度已達到一定的水準，但車聯網的運用勢必得在完整且值得信賴的環境下才得以實現，因此，近日HONDA便宣布將與日本知名網路公司軟銀(SoftBank)進行合作，雙方將針對5G網路使用環境進行相關研究。
根據目前車廠所釋出的訊息，從2018年四月開始，兩家公司會先於HONDA位於日本鷹棲的封閉測試場首度安裝5G基地台，值得一提的是，為了更加確定網路穩定度以及車載裝置的資訊接收能力，HONDA也將同時針對車速以及車載天線等可能會對訊號穩定度造成影響的因素進行進一步的研究。
除了針對車聯網的功能性進行測試外，兩家公司同時也會針對網路訊號的發收進行測試，看到這邊也許也些讀者會好奇目前5G網路的使用概況，根據目前各家電信業者的估算，5G網路服務預計會於2018年開始正視布建，並且於2020年達到80%的涵蓋率，因此，對於軟銀而言，與HONDA出了能獲得更多資源進行技術開發外，同時也能藉此進入車聯網的運用市場，畢竟隨著車是對於自動駕駛越來越大的需求量下，若能提早進入此市場的話，對於軟銀以及HONDA的市場競爭力想必會有大大的加分。
