    不是愚人節,但HONDA打造不可思議的Civic Type R Pickup皮卡

四月一日愚人節不是早過了嗎?HONDA的Civic Type R竟然推出了Pickup皮卡休旅版。本周四在英國的汽車製造與銷售協會SMMT舉行的媒體試車節(Test Day)中,HONDA推出了一台皮卡概念車Civic Type R Pickup,對媒體公開展示,讓全場嘩然,質疑HONDA真的打算做Civic皮卡。

SMMT相當於台灣的車輛公會,他們每一年會辦車展,每年五月,則會辦一場媒體聚會稱為SMMT Test Day,廠商會邀請所有媒體前來賞車和試車。這台Civic Type R Pickup是由HODNA品牌英國研發中心的產品工程部設計打造的,稱之為惠案P(Project P)。

它是以HONDA熱銷性能版掀背車Civic Type R為基礎而改造的,只是把它的C柱和車頂拆去,換上一個捲軸式軟篷車內的座椅和行李廂也完全拆除, 騰出來的空間就是個開放式的貨床,至於座艙,就被簡化成一個雙人座的座艙。儘管這般傷筋動骨的大改造,但是Type R的車身套件,還有那隻曬衣架也也就是車尾的固定式擾流翼,都被保留下來,而車色則是換上拉力紅(Rallye Red)的亮眼塗裝。

至於它的動力總成 變速箱和排檔都保持不變,根據HONDA的推估,把熱皿血的掀背改造成皮卡,它還是很熱血,時速0到100公里加速低於6秒。而極速可以達到265公里/小時。即使被賦新的功能和定位,但HONDA表示原來Civic Type R的高性能的駕乘感全數保留下來,同時具備強大的賽道戰力。

一如外界的預期,HONDA並沒有讓這台另類的Civic Type R進入量產,根據Projec P的專案負責人Alyn James所說,他們會考慮讓它開到紐柏林北方賽道,創造最快前輪驅動皮卡的最速紀錄。
