HODNA和GM宣布共同開發新一代化學電池，電動車價格將會更親民

HONDA和通用（GM）本周四（6月7日）宣布共同合作開發新一代化學電池，以降低電動車的成本、提高電池密度，並加速電動車的推出。這是一項跨年度的合作計畫的一部分，HONDA將採購結合通用最新電池技術的電池模組。
去年，HONDA和GM策略結盟，共同簽署合作議，共同開發先進氫燃料電池，將在2020年量產運用在新車上。此次的合件則是去年合作協議的再擴大。兩家公司的共同聲明中指出，合作開發計畫主要目的就是為了大幅降低電池成本，並提升電池的性能，特別是在電池的高密度和續航力，還具有輕量化、體積較小，以及充電更快的優點。
根據通用汽車發言人所說，此一電池未來將用於GM和HONDA的輕量車之上，主要供應北美市場，另外也會用於未來計畫為中國市場開發的小型電動車，不過暫時不在此一合作計畫的範圍內。通用表 示下一代的電動車，預計2021年發表，將是一台高毛利的電動車，該公司計畫在2023年推出20款純電動或氫燃料電池車。
通用汽車全球產品開發、採購和供應鏈執行副總裁(Mark Reuss表示，與HONDA達成的協定，進一步展現GM有能力為利潤豐厚的電動產品組合提供創新技術。
通用和HODNA已在電動化方面建立了良好的合作關係，並成立汽車產業第一家生產先進氫燃料電池系統的製造合資企業。開發團隊正努力為燃料電池和氫儲存系統，以提供一個更經濟實用的商業解決方案。
HONDA的業務總經理兼首席運營官神子柴壽昭(Takashi Sekiguchi)表示，除了正在進行的合作開發和燃料電池生產之外，這個電池合作計畫也將讓我們朝著實現永續社會的目標邁出新的一步。
