    相隔13年,HONDA終於重新站上F1賽事分站冠軍

HONDA在2015年選擇以引擎供應商重回F1舞台之後,可說是狀況不斷,在與McLAREN車隊的合作期間,始終無法提供賽車有競爭力的表現,甚至有時候連可靠度都成問題。不過在2018賽季與紅牛二隊Toro Rosso合作之後,2019年Red Bull兩隊皆採用了HONDA引擎,也為今日HONDA相隔13年後再度奪冠埋下伏筆。

就結果來說,HONDA引擎在今年賽季當中的表現,相較於以往可說是脫胎換骨,不但穩定許多,也更加具有競爭力。Red Bull主力車隊的Max Verstappen、Pierre Gasly兩位年輕車手幾乎每個分站賽事都能進入積分圈內,其中Max Verstappen更是在今年賽季開幕賽當中,就以第三的姿態站上頒獎台,其後始終維持著穩定的的表現。

而在這次的奧地利站賽事當中,第二位起跑的Max Verstappen雖然出師不利,起跑後落到第七,但隨即憑藉著精采的表現持續向前追擊,並且刷出最速單圈成績一路往前追趕,最後不但反超一路遙遙領先在前的FERRARI車隊Charles Leclerc,更為HONDA拿下2006年以來睽違13年的分站冠軍,並且中斷了Mercedes-AMGt車隊的連勝。

而這個狀況對於在去年轉投RENAULT引擎懷抱的McLAREN車隊來說,可能就有點酸酸的了,畢竟RENAULT自家的車隊在今年的表現,可說是競爭力嚴重不足,其動力來到McLAREN同樣也拿不出亮眼的表現。以積分來看,在奧地利站之後Red Bull Racing-Honda來到169分,遙遙領先McLAREN-RENAULT的52分,就不知道McLAREN看了這個成績,是否會覺得有點後悔了。
