    HONDA展示與Autoliv 合作開發結合捕手手套概念的全新世代安全氣囊

人類史上第一顆安全氣囊安裝在車上,迄今已近50年,安全氣囊對於降低汽車事故時的乘員受傷發揮了極大的功效,不過HONDA認為經過不斷進化的安全氣囊,還有進步的空間, HONDA透過和瑞典著名氣囊供應大廠Autoliv的合作,自從明年開始,將推出全新一代的乘客座的側面安全氣囊,目的在於大幅降低各種正面碰撞事故中乘客受傷的可能性。事實上,眾所周知,自從高田(Takata)安全氣囊爆發瑕疵,HONDA就試圖開發新的安全氣囊。

HONDA今日在北美研發中心(Honda R&D Americas)對媒體公開展示全新全氣囊新技術,這是和Autoliv共同開發的安全氣囊,它主要包括四個部件,和目前市售車搭載的傳統安全氣囊只使用一個充氣部件有所不同,HONDA的新氣囊使用的是一個中心氣室。氣囊有兩個向外突出的側氣室,在儀表板上形成一個寬闊的底座。氣囊左右的兩塊帆板(Sail panel),在兩個側氣室之間充氣伸展,HONDA稱之為「捕手的手套」,它就像用手套接住飛來的球,能抓住乘客的頭部,並讓他們緩衝減速,降低受傷的可能性。

HONDA表示,一般安全氣囊特別有利於有夾角的正面碰撞,不過側向碰撞力就有可能導致乘員頭部嚴重旋轉,或從安全氣囊滑落,因而增加了嚴重受傷的機會。而這款新設計的安全氣囊系統,實際上是專注於偏離軸線的負載狀況,例如偏如20到30度,乘客的頭部就不會直接陷到安全氣囊被受到保護。HONDA表示,這款安全氣囊將於2020年首次亮相。不過HONDA拒絕透露哪一款車型將會先配備此一安全氣囊。

Autoliv是HODNA在發生高田安全氣囊危機之後所指定合作的廠商。高田事件引發後來大規模的召回。未來新氣囊本田將有優先使用專利的權利,一旦合約到期, Autoliv將有權向其他汽車製造商提供此一全新的安全氣囊。

另外HONDA工程師經過測試後表示,這套全新安全氣囊能夠減少乘客頭部因為旋轉造成的 75% 傷害,不過目前它尚未在真實道路上測試過,因為新的安全氣囊要到明年才會正式投入生產,並陸續HONDA美規車輛上安裝,同時也會賣給其他品牌使用。
