HONDA推出輕量化改造的Civic Type-R街道版賽車，僅限量600台

台灣本田對HONDA Civic Type-R的引進一直是猶豫不決，其實只要台本引進，相信台灣的性能玩家一定會給於熱烈支持。多年來，Civic Type-R深受歐美性能玩家的追捧，市場銷售十分亮眼，尤是北美市場。HONDA為犒賞車迷的熱愛，針對10代Civic推出2021年式限量的合法道路版賽車Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition，限量600台僅供應北美市場。
雖然這台限量版車名並沒有甚麼驚人的名號，不過它口上Liniter Edition限量版的字樣，其目的似乎很簡單，因為HONDA今年稍晚將有可能利用Type-R來挑戰紐柏林前輪驅動車的單圈最速紀錄，當然此事並未得到HONDA方官方的正式認可。為此一挑戰，Civic Type-R要打破雷諾的Megane R.S. Trophy-R的7分40秒的紀錄，車身必須進行輕量化，它為了比Type-R標準車型更輕，換裝BBS鍜造鋁圈，減動8.1公斤，另拿掉消音器和後加熱管，再減掉12.7公斤，另外也車內的娛樂資訊系和空調等系統移走，可再減重不少。
為強化賽道的戰力，HONDA也加強有限公司的軌道實力，把原來配備的馬牌輪胎，更換為比較粘的米其林Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2，最後型避震系統校到最佳戰鬥位置，同時重新校準它的轉向系統，讓駕駛可以得到更好的路面回饋。
除讓這台Type-R的街道版賽車更強悍，它的車色也不同於標準車型，它採用的鳳凰黃色塗料，當年Acura 的Integra Type-R引進美國時，所有限量的600台全部都採用這種車色，有一些對比的縫線。
目前HODNA尚未確認這台Type-R Limited Edition的正式售價，而標準版的Type-R 在北美的售價是39995美元，經過大度改裝，可以預見它的售價一定不會便宜。
