搶先得自駕先機，HONDA成為全球第一家售出獲認證Level 3自駕車之品牌

現階段除了電動車之外，自動駕駛車也是全球車壇各品牌的發展重點，不過到目前為止，真正的自動駕駛車何時能上路，相信沒有人能說得準。即便如此，目前許多車款的自動化程度已經不斷在提高，日前HONDA在日本開賣的品牌旗艦Legend就配備了獲認證的Level 3自動駕駛機能，其定價為1100萬日圓（折合新台幣約294萬元）。
雖然這款Legend不但只有在日本本土販售，還限量100輛並且沒有任何增產的計畫，但HONDA依舊成為了全球第一家成功售出獲認證Level 3自駕車的汽車品牌。其搭載了Traffic Jam Pilot系統，能夠在特定條件下自動進行車輛的加速、煞車以及轉向，同時HONDA原廠也表示，再啟動該系統之後，駕駛員不但可以使用車內螢幕上的任何功能，甚至能夠看電影，進一步減少塞車時的疲勞與壓力。
該系統還能夠在將車輛控制權交還給駕駛之前，利用安全帶的震動來提醒，如果駕駛依舊沒有反應，系統將會自動將車輛減速直到停下，並且同時進行閃燈並且鳴喇叭來警告周圍車輛，藉此來讓緊急停車的情況更安全。種種的安全配置也讓日本政府在去年11月對Traffic Jam Pilot系統授予安全認證。
實際上，由於各國對於自動駕駛車的管理規範不同，也因此早在2017年就已經將Level 3自駕技術導入A8的AUDI，始終無法讓這款車進入市場。
