HONDA和三菱商事合資成立ALTNA將合作開發電動車，初期推出N-VAN e輕型電動商用車租賃

HONDA日本本田技研工業株式會社和日本三菱商事上周（6月13日）共同宣布，將於2024年7月成立新公司「ALTNA Corporation」（簡稱ALTNA）。新公司 ALTNA 的成立是基於 2023 年 10 月簽署的諒解備忘錄，目的在於創建新業務，著重於未來碳中和時代開發 EV電動車，並發展電池租賃業務、改造儲能業務、智慧充電業務等。
全新公司ALTNA將和這兩家日本企業旗下附屬的租賃公司合作，開始銷售新的租賃產品，首先是HONDA本田計劃於10月發表的全新型輕型電動商用車「N-VAN e：」。 這台車的電池只租不賣，在租賃車輛時，ALTNA將保留電池的所有權，在租賃期內ALTNA將會監控電池的使用狀態，並持續監控電池的使用情況，包括對未來電池劣化的預測。
車載電池在車輛使用期結束後，電池將被收集起來，並轉用於電網蓄電池事業（轉用儲能業務）。該公司表示，根據電池將長期使用（從車載到固定使用）的假設來設定租賃價格，這將有助於減輕電動車用戶的財務負擔。
新公司將把本田HONDA的電動車/電池控制技術和互聯技術，與三菱公司的電力業務知識相結合，例如蓄電池操作和智慧充電，為電動車用戶提供總擁有成本（TCO）。以及長期使用電動車電池的新電力業務。
根據ALTNA的官方訊息，關於這家新公司的成立，兩家公司將致力於優化電動車的使用成本，提高內含多種稀有資源材料的電池的價值，促進日本的資源循環利用，並對需求不斷增加的電網蓄電池進行調整，以因應可再生能源的普及，該合資公司的成立目的是解決電力供應等問題，進而實現電動車的社會化和脫碳社會的實現。
