HONDA在美國發表可睡四人的Base Station 露營車，能停進車庫並由小型SUV或電動車拖曳

隨著HONDA推出一系列煥然一新的全新車型，HONDA位於洛杉磯和俄亥俄州的研發中心也在悄悄開發一些不同類型的產品，像是Base Station Prototype露營尾車近日登場，它是一款輕量化露營尾車，結合模組化設計與巧妙空間利用，並即將上市。
Base Station是依照HONDA長期以來堅持「空間極大化/機械極小化」設計理念而開發的，目的在優化乘坐舒適性與實用性，同時減少不必要的複雜性。HONDA表示，這款車適合有經驗的探險家和剛開始從事露營休閒的人。
HONDA表示，這款露營車具備緊湊的車身設計，使其能輕鬆駛入標準住宅車庫或停車格。其輕巧的整備車重，使得像HONDA CR-V或TOYOTA RAV4這類熱門小型SUV，甚至HJONDA最新電動車Prologue或即將推出的0系列SUV，都能輕鬆拖曳。
Base Station外觀看起來像一個流線造型的輪上四方箱子，車身表面乾淨俐落，配備大車窗，車身彎角柔和圓潤。車側有一條可自訂亮度與色彩的環境氣氛光條，既能作為露營地照明，也能讓這個可移動的小屋看起來更加溫馨。
雖然HONDA尚未公布它的內裝照片，但HONDA形容它的座艙寬敞且充滿自然光。彈出式車頂與低矮地板可創造2.13公尺的頭部空間。進入車門為大型後尾門，五扇側窗皆可拆卸或更換為相容配件。
露營車配備一張榻榻米式沙發，可變形成成人用的加大號床鋪，以及可選配兒童用雙層床鋪，讓四口之家都在野外安眠。此外，它還可選配冷氣，讓宿營時更加舒適而不受天氣影響。
它與傳統拖車如 Airstream Basecamp 或 Jayco Jay Feather Micro 不同，Honda 的露營車省略了內建廚房與浴室的設計。取而代之的是，它提供可選配的戶外小廚房，配有自來水和電磁爐，以及外接淋浴設備。露營車本身沒有馬達供電，但標配鋰離子電池、逆變器和太陽能板。若需長時間停留或增加便利性，該裝置也可接入外部電源或連結到HONDA發電機。
Base Station價格與上市時間尚未公布，但HONDA表示Base Station將在輕量化旅行拖車市場中「以具競爭力的價格呈現」。它的尺寸和配備介於極簡風淚滴式拖車與傳統露營車之間。
HONDA研發事業部副總裁 Jane Nakagawa 稱Base Station是「完美的範例」，同時展現工程師與設計師各自自由追求大膽創意和設計的結果。和Motocompacto一樣，它展現了「新鮮且創新的思維」，在讓家庭能更輕鬆、更愉快地從事露營休閒活動。
