正式進軍WTCC，HONDA新世代Civiv參賽廠車賽道亮相

不久前AutoNet汽車日報才為讀者報導過，自從歐規版本的HONDA九代Civic於2011年法蘭克福車展中亮相以來，不過在HONDA的運作之下、歐規Civic參與各項賽事也相當積極，不僅將參加BTCC英國房車錦標賽與WTCC世界房車錦標賽，日前也發表了最新開發的HR412E引擎，而今搭載此款動力的新世代Civiv廠車也正式亮相。

這款為了因應WTCC的賽事規格，因而搭載HONDA最新開發的代號HR412E的1.6L直四渦輪增壓汽油引擎渦輪增壓引擎，是由HONDA日本櫪木縣研發中心由首席工程師堀内大資領導的開發團隊研發，賽車開發則將會由義大利J.A.S. Motorsport依歐規五門Civic著手進行，同時在HONDA位於英國的Swindon廠進行製造。而今這輛全新打造的賽車也已於義大利羅馬附近的Vallelunga賽道、由義大利車手Gabriele Tarquini與葡萄牙前F1車手Tiago Monteiro陸續的順利完成測試行程，並將自今年10月份於Suzuka鈴鹿賽道所舉辦的的WTCC日本站開始正式參賽。

此具代號HR412E的1.6L直四渦輪增壓汽油引擎，其名稱中的〝H〞代表HONDA、〝R〞代表Racing、〝4〞代表直列四缸、〝12〞代表2012年、〝E〞則是代表Engine之意，雖說HONDA並未公布此具動力的輸出數據，但堀内大資也透露出未來不排除在市售車款上導入以HR412E為基礎開發的動力系統，為HONDA旗下Type-R車款的復興再度埋下伏筆，也讓所有HONDA本格派車迷充滿期待。
