全力備戰，HONDA Civic WTCC廠車進入測試階段

相較於HONDA BTCC廠隊將在2014年賽季當中，將採用較為少見的旅行車型Civic Tourer參賽，在WTCC賽事當中，仍舊維持以Civic五門掀背車型做為廠車的基礎；而繼HONDA在2013年底發表新賽季的全新賽車塗裝之後，賽車的測試工作也於西班牙的Motorland Aragon開始進行。

近日HONDA社長伊東孝紳則是發表了對於2014年WTCC的展望，他表示：2013年市HONDA在WTCC第一個完整的賽季，而整個賽季當中除了贏得了四座分站冠軍之外，車隊整體的好表現也讓HONDA獲得製造商的積分冠軍；而在2014年賽季當中，HONDA將以三支隊伍、四輛賽車的陣容，積極爭取車手以及製造商的積分冠軍。

事實上，由於2013年賽季當中，CHEVROLET已退出廠隊行列，所以僅剩下HONDA與LADA兩支廠隊，不過將於4月份開跑的2014年賽季中，除了HONDA與LADA之外，CITROEN將會以WRC傳奇車手Sebastien Loeb與三屆WTCC冠軍Yvan Muller的黃金陣容成為全新的挑戰者。

HONDA Civic WTCC廠車搭載HONDA日本櫪木縣研發中心發表的HR412E 1.6L直列四剛渦輪增壓汽油引擎，整體外觀在WTCC的全新技術規範之下，也搭配了相當吸睛的空力套件以及大型後擾流尾翼，輪圈則是採用18吋的規格；而全名為Castrol Honda World Touring Car的廠隊，車手陣容將維持Gabriele Tarquini、Tiago Monteiro兩人。
