    打破自己的紀錄,HONDA Civic Tourer 1.6 i-DTEC在英國創下34.6km/L平均油耗表現

2014年巴黎車展上HONDA汽車展現柴油渦輪引擎技術成果,將2013年8月問世的1.6 i-DTEC柴油渦輪引擎加以提升,使動力從原本的120hp、30.6kgm,提升到馬力160hp、峰值扭力35.7kgm的水準。馬力提升確實能增加更多駕駛樂趣,不過在節能表現上120hp的設定轉搭載到Civic Tourer上卻有著更驚人的成果。

2013年底歐洲HONDA以CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC(六速手排、FF),參與英國一年一度的ALD Automotive Shell FuelSave MPG Marathon(省油馬拉松賽),在全路段總里程819km的各式路況下,此具1.6 i-DTEC柴油渦輪引擎搭載於CR-V繳出平均27.7km/L的油耗表現,比起原廠公佈的22.2km/L還要更亮眼。而2014年HONDA則是找來Civic Tourer 1.6 i-DTEC再度挑戰。

為讓此具1.6 i-DTEC柴油渦輪引擎發揮出最佳節能表現,歐洲HONDA參與2014年英國省油馬拉松賽所用的Civic Tourer 1.6 i-DTEC,不僅車重較CR-V輕其風阻影響更是降到最低。而2014年的賽程也沒有比較輕鬆,為期兩天的比賽時間共行駛了超過530km的總里程數,最後Civic Tourer 1.6 i-DTEC也不負眾望拿下省油冠軍。

在整體條件都不同的情況下,Civic Tourer 1.6 i-DTEC硬是將平均油耗成績推到97.92mpg(約34.6km/L),相對原廠公佈的成績74.3mpg(約26.3km/L)還要更好。且這成績還是由HONDA工程師Fergal McGrath以及James Warren所駕駛出來的。至於緊追在後的FORD Fiesta 1.6 TDCi,則是以97.08mpg(約34.3km/L)飲恨,可以見得HONDA柴油引擎技術,面對歐洲車廠完全不遜色還略勝一籌。
