    HONDA誓死捍衛Nurburgring最速前驅頭銜!備好Type-R強化版應戰新對手!

HONDA與最速前驅車頭銜的淵源可追溯到90年帶時推出的Integra DC2 Type-R,雖然當時並沒有留下明確的紀錄,但在一片讚聲中確實也建立其在歷史上的定位,此後接續地位的DC5雖然擁有優異的性能,但因時代的轉變,其性能卻不若DC2那般出眾,自然也就斷送了最速前驅車的威名。

為了奪回最速前驅車的頭銜,HONDA不得不妥協,放棄過去堅持的NA高轉之路,走上渦輪增壓一途。在多年的研發及測試之下,推出採用全新2.0L VTEC Turbo引擎的歐規九代Civic Type-R,在310hp/40.8kgm的動力及出眾的底盤設定下,在Nurburging賽到以7:50.63的成績擊敗RENAULT Megane R.S. 275 Trophy-R,將睽違超過十年的最速前驅車頭銜重新納入品牌名下。

然而就先前的例子來看,最速前驅車的頭銜易主的速相當快,加上現正時逢前任最速前驅紀錄得主Megane進行改款的時間,而且RenaultSport也不是省油的燈。即便推出強化車型爭奪頭銜也不會令人感到意外。而在更先進的科技加持下,要突破現有紀錄也只是時間早晚的問題。而且除了RENAULT之外,西班牙挑戰者SEAT Leon的實力也不容小覷,更在近日以Leon Cupra 280及敗AUDI RS6奪下最速旅行車頭銜。

當然原廠曾考慮透過特殊限量版本應戰,以更強的動力、更輕的車重負擔、更加極端的設定(拆除空調、增加防滾籠等),強化車輛的性能表現。但若對手挑戰成功的車種僅是一般定位,而非特殊限量強化版時,HONDA應該也只能靠著推出一般強化版車型應戰。
