煞不住？HONDA因為電子式手煞車問題，在美國召回三十五萬輛Civic

HONDA在美國召回大約三十五萬輛2016年式的Civic coupe與Civic sedans，因為這些車輛的電子手煞車（Electric Parking Brake, EPB）有瑕疵。目前沒有造成任何事故。
HONDA在聲明稿中表示，在車輛熄火要立即使用電子式手煞車時，維持車輛穩定的輔助軟體，可能會讓EPB的功能失效。而這種情況在車輛尚未熄火時並不會發生，也就是說使用電子式手煞車必須要在車子發動時，不然車輛的輔助軟體會阻斷EPB的運作。一言以蔽之，就是必須在車子熄火前先弄好電子式手剎車。
如果沒有拉手煞車，在儀表板上的BRAKE警示燈會閃爍15秒來提醒駕駛，因為如果沒拉手煞車可能會造成車輛在靜止狀態下自己移動，會提高造成意外的可能性。慶幸的是，HONDA官方表示目前這項缺陷尚未造成任何事故與人員傷亡。
HONDA將在11月開始聯絡受影響的車主，通知他們到鄰近的經銷商免費更新軟體。好巧不巧，先前TOYOTA同樣在美國也因為手煞車問題召回了九萬兩千輛Prius。
