    強調可持續性,HONDA公開電動車與油電混合車電池回收過程

雖然Hybrid油電混合動力以及純電動車,都被視為是汽車產業未來對抗空污議題的解套方法,但其實電動車與油電混合車是否真的「環保」,始終是一個常常被拿出來討論的話題,最大的原因就在於「電池」,因為電池除了製造過程也會產生污染之外,日後要如何回收再利用,而非成為一個個大型垃圾,更是一大課題。

繼先前NISSAN以及VW都推出各自針對電池議題的解決方式之後,HONDA最近也向社會大眾公開了這個日本汽車品牌處理廢電池的計畫。目前HONDA歐洲分公司宣布,將與SNAM(SociétéNouvelle d'Affinage desMétaux)這個成立於2013年、專門針對電池進行回收再利用的公司進行擴大合作。

原本HONDA與其的合作範圍僅在於確保廢電池的可追溯性、並將其妥善處理,但新的合作SNAM將會針對廢電池進行分析,並且進一步的「再利用」。首先SNAM將會從HONDA的將銷商以及位於22個國家與地區的授權處理廠商接收鋰電池與鎳氫電池,接著他們會針對電池來進行測試,確定是否有辦法將其拆解,並接它們重新使用在家庭以及工業方面的電能儲存設施當中。

如果無法進行再利用,SNAM將會針對電池採取濕式冶鍊回收技術,這乃是一種化學純化技術,透過溶劑將稀金屬融解成離子態,再利用離子交換、置換等方法從淨化液中提取金屬,來達成貴金屬的回收,其中包括鈷與鋰。而HONDA表示…這些材料除了可以用於製造新電池,還可以用於彩色顏料或當作砂漿的添加劑;而其他電池當中的銅、金屬與塑料都可以也被回收或再利用。

SNAM也表示,這個回收程序僅適用於純電動車與油電混合車當中所使用的電池,未來他們更能夠達到15日內進行回收,藉此確保廢電池在存放時不會造成任何危險。
