HONDA讓大黃蜂重機的名號重現江湖，將在義大利米蘭車展推出Hornet概念街車

HONDA今年全力復古，在四輪車的領域，他們讓已經停產的Integra重新復出，而在二輪的世界，已走入歷史的跑車大黃蜂Hornet，HONDA二輪事業部也決定讓它復出。HONDA本周宣告即將推一台全新概念街車Hornet Concept，讓2013年走人歷史的大黃蜂的車名重現江湖，而它也將在本周舉行的EMICA義大利米蘭車展中亮相，而有關這台車的相關資訊，HONDA可是守口如瓶，僅僅釋出一張車側的輪廓圖，而HONDA公布此一訊息，似乎日本方面傳出HONDA計畫推出一系列全新平行雙缸動力車型的謠言有關。
日本方面傳出的訊息指出，HONDA正運用新的755c.c.水平雙缸引擎來開發一系列車型，預料將採用HONDA的1084c.c. Africa Twin車型的模式，只不過會限縮引擎的尺寸，使之體積更小，以便能適用於一些車型較小且更輕的車款。重新復出的為「大黃蜂」車名為「CB750S」，而配備全新引擎的第二款新車型將是市場期待已久的XL750L Transalp。
新的大黃蜂概念車預告圖顯示的是一台重機的剖面側視圖，雖然從側面看，不太能確定引擎是雙缸引擎或是四缸引擎，不過目前並聯雙缸引擎是大勢所趨，而且它的汽缸頭的造型，和Africa Twin非洲雙缸引擎十分匹配 ，這是強力的證據，顯示它配備的正是市場預期的全新755cc雙缸引擎，氣缸蓋的造型依循著Africa Twin的小型UniCam單凸輪軸的設計思維，單一凸輪軸朝向汽缸頭部的後方，直接操作進氣門並透過搖臂來開啟排氣閥門。
未來一旦投入生產，這種引擎將可以成為HODNA打造一系列新車型的基礎。正如Afirca Twin非洲雙缸引擎，已經出現在最初推出的Adventure Bike多功能機車，如the Rebel 1100 巡航重機和最新NT1100 旅行車，因此，大黃蜂計畫沒有理由不跟著走。
Hornet大黃蜂也就是HONDA的CB600F，在歐洲和巴西市場被稱之為Hornet，在美國稱之為599，它自1998年首次在歐洲上市，藉著動力強勁、車型小巧和優異的操控等特性，加上街車的運動化造型，因而大受當地買家的歡迎。
