Honda加速電動化宣布與LG能源解決方案公司合資在美國俄亥俄州與建年產40GWh電池廠

關於電動化，雖然起步有些落後，但Honda正急起直追。v本周宣布，將和韓國LG能源解決方案公司 （LG Energy Solution）在美國俄亥俄州費耶特郡（Fayette County）建造他們之前已宣布的合資電動車電池工廠。兩家公司將投資至少 35 億美元做為建廠之用，合資企業的總支出可能高達 44 億美元，相當於新台幣1420億。

Honda Prologue

電池廠的建設將於 2023 年初開始，並將於 2024 年底完成。到 2025 年底，HONDA的目標是每年在那裡生產 40 百萬千瓦時（gigawatt hours，GWh ）的鋰離子電池模組，該基地所生產的電池將專門用以供應Honda和Acura兩品牌的車款使用。
根據外媒報導，這座電池工廠將位於俄亥俄州杰斐遜維爾附近。這將使該地點距俄亥俄州哥倫布市約 40 英里，距本田位於俄亥俄州馬里斯維爾（Marysville）的工廠大約 50哩，俄亥俄州交通部將改善新工廠附近地區的道路系統。
Honda最新的電動車戰略，包括在 2024 年推出 Prologue ，它使用通用汽車的 Ultium 電池和平台。這款跨界電動休旅甚至具備和凱迪拉克 Lyriq及雪佛蘭 Blazer EV相同的 121.8吋（3,094 mm）的軸距。Honda並未透露動力系統和電池模組相關的詳細資訊，據悉Acura ZDX也將採用了同樣的平台基礎。
2026 年，Honda計劃開始使用自己的 e:Architecture電動車平台生產自家的電動車，這些車型將使用來自俄亥俄州與 LG 合資成的立工廠所生產的電池。目前還沒有關於這些車款的的技術細節。
Honda正透過結盟的策略，加速品牌的電動化，Honda已和通用汽車正共同開發電動車專用的平台，第一款採用此一平台的新車，應該在 2027 年推出。此外，Honda也和SONY合資成立了一家新公司，共同開發一款最早可能在 2025 年上市的電動車，根據計劃，該車款將由Honda負責生產，由SONY開發平台。
而在兩輪車的世界裡，Honda已於 9 月間宣布到2025 年將推出 10 款電動機。它們包括通勤代步車型、電動輕型機車和及該公司所謂的“有趣的電動車”，而從Honda的預告圖片來看，這些車型似乎還包括一款運動化的重機。
