上月底台灣的HONDA CR-V剛作了小改款的動作，而遠在日本的小老弟HR-V也於上月初〈7月5日〉推出了小改款式，在原廠定位中HR-V比CR-V較偏向於年輕活潑的路線，因此HR-V在外觀上作了小幅度的變動，使HR-V看起來更為年輕動感一些。
此回HONDA為HR-V在外觀上所作的改變包括：將水箱罩改為蜂巢狀、原本碩大的保桿略為修飾得更稱托出HR-V年輕特質，保桿下方也新加裝了圓形的霧燈，另外還配備了新設計的八爪式輪圈，以整體的外觀來看，筆者認為相當適合那種自視甚高，帥氣不屑主流的年輕都會雅痞，雖說HR-V自上市以來許多人都說他的外型定位不夠明確，而經過此次的小改款後HR-V因可吸引更多的年輕族群。
另外除了外觀外，HR-V的內裝也將車市內的配色由淺藍色改為黑色，方向盤也由新的透氣皮包覆，中控台上增加了鈦合金飾版等小幅更動。而動力方面依然使用1.6升的四缸引擎，動力輸出依車型設定不同分別有105hp與125hp兩種配置，而原本前驅版的HR-V僅能搭載105hp的 引擎，在這次的小改款中，HONDA讓前驅車也能搭載與四驅版本相同擁有125hp的引擎。
而在台灣，南陽實業因定位上的問題〈與HR-V的定位不易〉，遲未引進，因為在大部分國人較喜歡外觀看起來氣派，君不見許多定位年輕化的車款，到了台灣都成了銷售毒藥，其實以同樣是1.6升的引擎，HR-V比起一般房車多了四輪傳動的優勢與更為靈活的車室空間，無論是作為平常的交通工具亦或者是用來出外踏青，在不景氣的環境中，像HR-V這種輕SUV不也是種既經濟又實用的選擇嗎？
