AutoNet之前報導過HONDA設於越南的的組裝工廠，雖然比之前預測的7月晚了點，不過還是順利的在本月25日動工，將以每年一萬台的生產力加入HONDA的亞洲生產線！
如同之前所預期，HONDA越南表示，這個全新的廠房將具備從焊接到組裝的完整生產能力，甚至具有自己的引擎生產線，將是越南的第一間。該廠之後將生產搭載i-VTEC引擎技術的四門Civic轎車，排氣量上將有1.8升及2.0升兩種選擇。HONDA越南也預估，量產之後的新Civic在越南本土將可以達到每月300輛的銷量。
同時HONDA越南也重申之前的決定，未來四年內將持續投資超過6千萬美金在越南的生產線、以及銷售網絡上，估計將提供越南當地將近1,000個工作機會。隨著HONDA成功進軍勞動成本低的越南市場，未來許多日系車廠的計畫也將逐漸明朗化！
