HONDA下一代Civic 2011年才誕生？美國媒體大驚小怪！

2005年進行大改款的第八代Civic，算一算也差不多要進入改款週期，然而美國不少媒體卻大肆報導上市時間恐怕往後延一年的訊息，但根據AutoNet過去所獲得的訊息，在HONDA的規劃下第九代Civic本來就是2011年第三季才會問世，並非如美國媒體所說從2010年延到2011年！
依照日本車五年一次大改款的週期來算，Civic應該在2010年就要大改款，但受到2008年能源價格飆漲及2009年金融海嘯衝擊，和各國越來越嚴苛的環保法規，HONDA早在2008年就已經提出下一代Civic的上市時間表，也就是2011年第三季，並非如美國多數媒體所報導的2010年。而Civic延後上市消息一出，果真引起不少民眾關注，尤其是美國消費者最為強烈，畢竟Civic在2009年在美國共銷售將近26萬輛，幾乎是HONDA在當地市場的1/4，其重要性可想而知。
當然就目前AutoNet針對下一代Civic所掌握的情報是，四門仍將在全球市場販售，五門車型可能會僅限於日本和歐洲，美國則增加雙門，另外除了汽油引擎外，五門車型將會採用Hybrid系統，車身尺寸則和現行款差不多，至於其他規格恐怕還得等上一年。
