HONDA Civic Type R MUGEN概念原型出脫！？

今年八月，我們曾有歐規HONDA Civic Type R由於未達歐盟五期環保法規(EURO 5)標準而被迫於今年十月停止生產，並在年底正式停止販售的報導，雖然看來車迷似乎不再具備享有歐規Civic Type R的機會，但先前改裝廠MUGEN卻也為Civic推出Type R仕樣的升級套件，讓消費者能沿續Civic的Type R熱血，而當初MUGEN用來設定調校的概念原型，現在卻落入他人之手！
該HONDA Civic Type R MUGEN概念車，當時以手工打造20輛供測試調校用途，在Civic Type R的2.0L引擎排氣量下，不消增壓系統即可榨取240 hp的強悍動力，讓極致性能與飄逸身型得以相襯；這次的轉手動作，則是因於一場British Touring Car Championship活動，以獎品之名送出。
獲獎者為一名為Jim Morga的男子，於著名的銀石賽道由HONDA BTCC車手Matt Neal及Gordon Shedden交接該車，其還將同時獲得MUGEN Gordon Shedden廠的導覽行程，並面會HONDA Civic Type R MUGEN的設計團隊。
歐洲市場頗受好評、歐規車型甚至逆輸回日本當地的HONDA Civic Type R，面對日益嚴苛的法規，唯有更因應節能減碳訴求才得以重生，這是性能車的宿命，也為了生態環境的未來而不得不從的方案，如此也加劇了HONDA Civic Type R在車迷心中不可磨滅的魅力，並更期待其在未來的新作品。
