    HONDA科技巡禮(13):SH-AWD+P-AWS,ACURA RLX靈活刁鑽有一套

2012年11月於美國洛杉磯車展發表的ACURA RLX,依舊是HONDA獨一無二的旗艦,碩大的車體採用FF驅動,不少人對於操控性似乎有不小質疑,然而HONDA為了讓RLX與德國AUDI A8擁有相同的操控性能,不僅賦予SH-AWD系統,更導入嶄新的P-AWS技術,形成最佳的戰鬥組合。

姑且不論RLX的配備、外型甚至性能如何,這回原廠希望大家體驗的可是操控性,也就是SH-AWD(Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive)系統和最新的P-AWS(Precision All-Wheel-Steer)四輪轉向技術,看看龐然大物的RLX在賽道上有多麼靈活刁鑽,同時證明P-AWS的實力可不輸給S-AWD,因此HONDA提供分別搭載四輪驅動SH-AWD與前驅P-AWS的RLX,先後測試兩者之間的差異。

首先試駕的RLX為S-AWD,這套行之有年的四輪驅動系統,可視行車狀況以及車速將扭力適當地分配到前、後輪以及左、右輪,讓車輛發揮極佳的循跡性能與穩定表現,所以在蜿蜒的小型測試賽道上,RLX以近乎貼地狀態高速行進,就連激烈操駕時想要測試極限也令我頗為吃力,因為車輛就這麼緊貼於地面,過彎可是輕鬆愉快。換上撘載P-AWS四輪轉向系統的車型,雖然為前輪驅動基礎,只覺加速起步比起S-AWD要來得輕快,這套P-AWS算是4WS的進化版,HONDA最早應用4WS車種為1980年代的Prelude,不過當時是以改變舵角來增加輪胎轉向角度,P-AWS則是經由車輛電腦計算可連續控制左、右後輪的轉向角度,提升車輛過彎時的靈活表現,因此在FF車的轉向不足幾乎等於零,表現不亞於SH-AWD,但仍有稍稍推頭,不過仍維持在行進路線上,同時車身側傾不明顯,完全沒有因車身大而顯得笨重,反觀還相當靈活。

單就HONDA的技術力來看,無論SH-AWD或者P-AWS都是多年研發的結晶,也是為了提升操控和安全的技術表現,同時也隨著引擎性能越來越強,必須以輔助驅動和操控系統來提升行車安全,倘若這兩套系統能落實到其他車種,相信絕對可和歐洲對手相抗衡,並獲得消費市場的肯定。
