雖然起步慢，加速度也不快，但HONDA已經卯足全力電動化，上周4月26日，HONDA針對電動化在內的2023年企業轉型策略，舉行媒體發布會，報告的主題涉及範圍很廣，從改善企業利潤結構，以至於半導體、電池、電動車 (EV) 和軟體的開發。

其中電動車開發的部分，HONDA確認他們將在EV電動車專用平台上，打造首款電動車，它將是中大型電動車，將於2025年開始販售。日本HONDA本田技研新任執行長三部敏宏在報告中表示，專注於科技開發和電動化是前進的方向。

本田正在新的e:Architecture 電動車平台上，正為 2025年全新EV電動車，開發全新的車載作業系統=,，不過該公司沒有提供任何相關的技術細節。它僱用的人員是原計劃的兩倍，用於內部軟體開發，包括開發該系統、ADAS先進駕駛輔助系統和車聯網功能。車商還將特別設立一個新的全球用戶體驗長的新職位。

Honda Prologue和Acura ZDX EV 將上市銷售，它們都將採用通用汽車的 Ultium 平台，兩家車廠將繼續合作，從 2027 年開始將推出一系列價格經濟實惠的電動車。Honda也將把美國俄亥俄州變成其北美電動車生產中心。這將包括對 Marysville 汽車廠、East Liberty 汽車廠和 Anna 發動機廠進行改造。本田和 LG Energy Solution 也將在該州建設合資電池廠。

北美以外也有重要的電動車訊息發布，日本市場將在 2024 年上半年推出輕型商用車 N-Van EV 。然後，以復古風格的 N-One 的EV電動車，將在 2025 年問世。這兩款小型車型，其中有一款將是 SUV，預計 2026 年上市銷售。

另有幾款針對中國市場推出的電動車將面向中國：e:NS2 和 e:NP2 將於 2024 年初上市。2024年底，e:N SUV 概念車的量產版（如本文附圖所示）將加入該系列。到 2027 年，還將有七款電動化產品在中國推出。Honda的目標是到 2025 年，其在中國的所有產品都將實現電動化。

報告中並沒有提及Honda在 2022 年 4 月展示的兩款運動型電動汽車，當時，Honda表示它們是該公司打算針對全球市場，提供的專業旗艦車型。

而從2020年代後半期開始，Honda將與GS Yuasa合資開發EV專用大容量、高輸出的液態鋰離子電池。另一方面，半固態電池將與EV電池研發公司SES聯合開發，全固態電池將自主研發。

在軟體方面，Honda將開發自己專屬的車載作業系統，並將其應用於2025年在北美市場推出的中型和大型電動車。
