北美ACURA家族的LSUV車系MDX，在去年逆輸入回日本市場後，成為本田在日本車系的旗艦休旅車種，為了增加市場的接受度，今年又再推出了新版本，而且新增了多樣配備，同時動力也予以提昇。
新車在外觀上，針對水箱護罩，前後保險桿都重新做了修正，以符合日本當地消費者的口味，而且新增了MDX專屬車色，在內裝部分並沒有太多變動，僅設計了新的自發光儀表板，感覺更為炫麗﹔除此之外，原本就有極高安全評價的車身結構，又增加了新的側邊安全防護汽簾，使得安全性在同級車中可說屬一屬二。
動力系統方面將原有的3.5升V6 VTEC引擎，260hp最大馬力重新調校後增加了5hp，成為265hp，扭力依舊為35.1kgm，搭配五速自排變速系統，在同級車中也可說是頂尖性能。而既然卸下ACURA高級品牌的身段，HONDA MDX更推出了入門版本，所以日本消費者不一定要買豪華的皮椅內裝，也可以依照預算或使用需求購買織布座椅。
