除了颶風Katrina的災情，獨佔美國各大媒體的版面之外，北美車壇最大的頭條，莫過於八代HONDA Civic的全面發表，而北美本田也大張旗鼓，除了先前本報獨家報導有關於全美巡迴趴之外，原廠特地打造的獨立官方網站，也在日前正式開幕啟用！
這個稱為2006 HONDA Civic – Inspiration的官方網站，除了將全美巡迴趴的精彩實況上載之外，也與許多美國的當代藝術家與時尚界合作，看起來可以感受到北美本田對於新世代消費者的用心，而且這次北美本田除了房車款之外，更大力推薦建議售價由不到二萬美元起跳的Civic Si雙門性能化轎跑車，感覺上已經頗有在當地稱王的氣勢！
對於本田原廠來說，八代HONDA Civic車系已經成為全球車，儘管會針對不同地域屬性推出不同車款，不過基本上的精神卻相當一致—年輕、運動、性能、科技、前衛、酷炫與時尚，在橫掃年輕人的這一點，尚未上市的八代車系，似乎已經先行收編了全球年輕消費族群的心，相信未來在國內也是….
