J.D.Power的調查主要提供車廠作為旗下各項服務的年度檢視，然而也讓車壇增添了些許競爭的意味。

2006 SSI 分項指標
|
所謂SSI（New-Vehicle Sales Satisfaction Index）調查，報告重點在於消費者在購車過程的滿意度，近日所發表的2006台灣SSI研究，調查對象為台灣去年7月到今年2月購買新車的2,600位車主，同樣的以6項指標為評分重點，分別是交車程序處理（26％）、銷售業務員（19％）、交車時間安排（17％）、實際交易內容（13％）、經銷商的展場設施（13％）以及書面作業（12％）等6項。
觀察四年來的SSI研究報告，豪華車的三龍頭架勢大致底定，LEXUS、BMW、M-BENZ自2004年之後就沒有離開過前四名，LEXUS的長年第一也該代表著品牌所建立的高質感是相當實際的。然而以非豪華車第一的稱號自豪的TOYOTA雖然曾在2003年的評比中攀至第二，但在之後的幾年則勉強維持著這個非豪華車第一的位置。
事實上，銷售量在這項調查中也扮演著重要地位，對於TOYOTA來說，下一代Camery所帶來的銷售壓力也迫使TOYOTA必須以更低價釋出庫存的Camery，雖然吸引了不少以實用角度選車的消費者，但在市場佔有率提高的同時，資源也相對的被稀釋，因此，預估在下次的SSI調查，TOYOTA的非豪華車第一寶座將受到更高標準的檢視！
