2009年式ACURA TSX獲得〝TOP SAFETY PICK〞頂級安全獎。

2008年紐約北美國際車展，由全新美規第八代HONDA Accord所衍生的2009年式ACURA TSX，在IIHS美國公路安全保險協會（Insurance Institute for Highway Safety）最新公布的撞擊測試結果當中，獲得〝TOP SAFETY PICK〞頂級安全獎項。

標配車側防護氣囊與防護氣簾，搭配高剛性車架與車門防撞鋼樑，獲得車側撞擊〝G〞最高評價。

IIHS高速公路安全保險協會，為北美地區權威車輛安全測試機構，所做的車輛撞擊測試，足以讓消費者與各家車廠信服，而2009年式ACURA TSX不論是在不論是在車輛正面撞擊（時速40英哩無減速直接撞擊）、車側撞擊（時速31英哩無減速直接撞擊，2008年式ACURA TSX得到〝Acceptable〞）或是後方撞擊測試（2008年式ACURA TSX得到〝Poor〞），對於車輛駕駛或前後座乘員的保護，皆得到〝G〞的最高評價，再加上標配ESC車身動態穩定控制系統等電子輔助裝置，安全表現傲視同級車款。

2009年式ACURA TSX進行車室座椅的重新設計，讓車輛乘員在車輛不幸發生碰撞時，透過安全頭枕裝置，在車輛遭受強力撞擊的瞬間，發揮應有的保護作用，讓駕駛與乘客的頭、頸部傷害減至最低，再加上擁有ESC車身動態穩定控制系統的適時作用，能夠有效防止車輛失控，減少車禍發生機率高達80％，因而能獲獎〝TOP SAFETY PICK〞。

此外，車輛正面撞擊，IIHS乃是透過裝置於駕駛座椅上的〝Hybrid III 〞測試假人，搭配高速攝影，以影片定格播放方式，了解新車在遭受碰撞的過程當中，假人會受到何種程度的傷害，或是可以全身而退；車側撞擊，則是使用〝SID-IIs〞測試假人，同樣搭配高速攝影，評估車輛結構的損害狀況與頭部防護狀況；後方撞擊測試則是以測試假人的頭部與頸部位移，以及頭枕、座椅所能提供的防護效果，為其評定標準。
