    大有進步!2009年式ACURA TSX獲得〝TOP SAFETY PICK〞頂級安全獎

2009年式ACURA TSX獲得〝TOP SAFETY PICK〞頂級安全獎 。
2008年紐約北美國際車展,由全新美規第八代HONDA Accord所衍生的2009年式ACURA TSX,在IIHS美國公路安全保險協會(Insurance Institute for Highway Safety)最新公布的撞擊測試結果當中,獲得〝TOP SAFETY PICK〞頂級安全獎項。

標配車側防護氣囊與防護氣簾,搭配高剛性車架與車門防撞鋼樑,獲得車側撞擊〝G〞最高評價。
IIHS高速公路安全保險協會,為北美地區權威車輛安全測試機構,所做的車輛撞擊測試,足以讓消費者與各家車廠信服,而2009年式ACURA TSX不論是在不論是在車輛正面撞擊(時速40英哩無減速直接撞擊)、車側撞擊(時速31英哩無減速直接撞擊,2008年式ACURA TSX得到〝Acceptable〞)或是後方撞擊測試(2008年式ACURA TSX得到〝Poor〞),對於車輛駕駛或前後座乘員的保護,皆得到〝G〞的最高評價,再加上標配ESC車身動態穩定控制系統等電子輔助裝置,安全表現傲視同級車款。

2009年式ACURA TSX進行車室座椅的重新設計,讓車輛乘員在車輛不幸發生碰撞時,透過安全頭枕裝置,在車輛遭受強力撞擊的瞬間,發揮應有的保護作用,讓駕駛與乘客的頭、頸部傷害減至最低,再加上擁有ESC車身動態穩定控制系統的適時作用,能夠有效防止車輛失控,減少車禍發生機率高達80%,因而能獲獎〝TOP SAFETY PICK〞。

此外,車輛正面撞擊,IIHS乃是透過裝置於駕駛座椅上的〝Hybrid III 〞測試假人,搭配高速攝影,以影片定格播放方式,了解新車在遭受碰撞的過程當中,假人會受到何種程度的傷害,或是可以全身而退;車側撞擊,則是使用〝SID-IIs〞測試假人,同樣搭配高速攝影,評估車輛結構的損害狀況與頭部防護狀況;後方撞擊測試則是以測試假人的頭部與頸部位移,以及頭枕、座椅所能提供的防護效果,為其評定標準。

後座乘員同樣受到同樣規格的安全防護。
高剛性車架在時速31英哩無減速直接撞擊之後,受損狀況良好。
