HONDA英國基地休息夠了，歐規版Civic Type R再度生產

已經停工長達四個月的英國Swindon廠，是HONDA在歐洲最主要的生產基地，如今隨著新車銷售景氣逐漸回溫下，不僅員工能回廠開工，更可提供許多市場需求。
早在2008年11-12月因HONDA於歐洲銷售下滑12﹪，因此在2009年1月決定從2月起英國Swindon廠先行停工；4、5月銷售依然沒有好轉，使得Swindon廠延長停工；然而隨著歐盟不少國家提出舊汰新的購車補助方案，讓新車銷售稍稍回春，這而HONDA在英國的銷售也有明顯長，為了供應市場需求，Swindon廠於停工四個月後再度啟動。
目前Swindon廠負責生產歐洲、中東及非洲市場的CR-V、三/五門Civic車型，並預計在今年秋天起開始生產Jazz（Fit）。
日本市場在2008年11月宣布將從英國引進Civic Type R三門版，並在2009年第一季開始販售，卻因為Swindon廠暫時停工而延期。
如今在Swindon廠再度啟動下，搭載2.0L直列四缸VTEC汽油引擎，可發揮201hp馬力的三門Civic Type R車型，估計能在6月登陸日本，已經下訂的消費者，也可和期待已久的小鋼砲碰面。
