EURO 5法規太難，HONDA Civic Type R歐洲不再！

在歐洲市場頗受好評、歐規車型甚至逆輸回日本當地的HONDA Civic Type R，礙於歐盟五期環保法規(EURO 5)的嚴苛標準將至，日前在原廠宣佈下，確定於今年十月停止對歐洲地區的生產，Civic Type R的市面銷售也將在年底畫下句點。
據HONDA日本官方表示，Civic Type R歐規版停產的決定，主要是因為其無法符合明年即將實施的歐盟五期環保法規標準，所以只要該法規適用的地區，Civic Type R的銷售都將面臨與法規互觸之問題，因此原廠才會宣告現行版本的銷售預計在年底終結。
在年底正式停售前，HONDA將以19,495英鎊(約合新台幣98萬元) 的優惠價格推出Type R GT，讓喜愛Civic Type R的消費者能省下2,230英鎊(約合新台幣11.2萬元)的購車開銷；至於英國負責生產Civic Type R的Swindon廠於此次決議中不受影響，其產能將持續供應其它法規相容之國家像是澳洲、南非等地。
這款於2006年日內瓦車展發表的Civic Type R，自2007年一月開始接單後，光是英國至今就賣出了1.2萬輛，受歡迎的程度可見一斑，只是其實全球各地都一樣，很多性能車也是礙於廢氣排放不符規定而與部份地區的車迷無緣，看來喜歡HONDA Civic Type R的話，至少得等到2011年Civic大改款後才有機會了！
