    為歐規Civic征戰WTCC賽事開發,HONDA推出HR412E 1.6L渦輪增壓動力

自從歐規版本的HONDA九代Civic於2011年法蘭克福車展中亮相以來,有關Type-R性能車型的傳言便不絕於耳,不過在英國HONDA的運作之下,歐規Civic參與各項賽事也相當積極,不僅將參加BTCC英國房車錦標賽與WTCC世界房車錦標賽,近日HONDA也發表了最新開發的動力系統。

雖說HONDA向來是以自然進氣引擎作為征戰車壇的代表,不過此次HONDA為了因應WTCC的賽事規格,因而近日發表了最新開發的渦輪增壓動力系統,這具與MUGEN合作、於HONDA日本櫪木縣研發中心由首席工程師堀内大資領導的開發團隊,所推出代號HR412E的1.6L直四渦輪增壓汽油引擎,其名稱中的〝H〞代表HONDA、〝R〞代表Racing、〝4〞代表直列四缸、〝12〞代表2012年、〝E〞則是代表Engine之意,至於賽車的開發則將會由J.A.S. Motorsport依歐規五門Civic著手進行,同時在HONDA位於英國的Swindon廠進行製造。

HONDA的目標是從2012年賽季便開始參與WTCC賽事,不過首次參戰則是在今年10月份於Suzuka鈴鹿賽道所舉辦的的WTCC日本站開始,將由義大利車手Gabriele Tarquini與葡萄牙前F1車手Tiago Monteiro代表出賽,接著是中國站與最終回合的澳門大賽,並自2013年賽季正式全季參與。

當然,HONDA過去並非沒有接觸過渦輪增壓的動力系統,除了早年在F1賽場上聞名的1.5L V6渦輪增壓動力外,在市售車市場上包括日本市場K-Car輕型車所採用的0.66L引擎,以及旗下高級品牌ACURA於2006年推出的RDX也曾採用代號K23A1的2.3L直四渦輪增壓汽油引擎,但在2012年芝加哥車展推出改款車型後以捨棄不用,改以3.5L V6自然進氣動力入替。

不過在九代Civic新款Type-R性能車型的相關傳言中,也有著搭載2.0L直四缸內直噴渦輪增壓汽油引擎的可能,對此首席工程師堀内大資表示在追求性能與環保節能兼顧的前提之下,加上由賽場上回饋的技術與經驗,未來Civic Type-R搭載渦輪動力也並非不可能,而這番話或許也會讓HONDA死忠性能迷更為期待新世代Civic Type-R的到來,若有更進一步的消息、本報也會繼續追蹤報導。
