因應一流嚴苛排放限制，HONDA將在中國生產Hybrid油電複合動力車款

在中國政府軟硬兼施的政商手腕之下，目前全球各大主要汽車集團在中國市場皆以合資的方式在中國製造、販售旗下車款，導入包括小排氣量渦輪引擎與油電複合動能、純電動能等新世代動力以因應中國漸趨嚴苛的環保法規。HONDA繼2015年確認將會在中國投產Earth Dreams直噴增壓引擎之後，如今再度傳出將會在2016年在中國組裝Accord Hybrid，成為首款在中國生產的HONDA油電複合動力車型。

HONDA曾經表示在2025年時將無法於中國市場販售任何傳統燃油動力車款，除了凸顯中國規範引擎排汙的決心之外，更代表HONDA對於中國市場已有明確的產品佈局與規劃。隨著Accord Hybrid將在2016年於中國投產，HONDA預估2020年時Hybrid動力車款將在HONDA中國銷售市場中佔有高達50%的比重，縮小其與TOYOTA之間的銷售差距。

至於即將量產的中國版Accord Hybrid則將由廣汽本田進行組裝，但在關鍵的馬達與電池等Hybrid零組件上短期內將維持日本進口，藉此降低初期生產成本並評估HONDA Hybrid車款在中國市場的接受度。

除了Accord Hybrid之外，HONDA也將有機會在ACURA品牌之下推出一款中國市場專屬小型SUV，採用油電複合動力藉此與HONDA XR-V拉開價格差距。搭上中國對於新能源車的補助與優勢，市場分析師樂觀的表示2016年將有機會賣出2.5萬輛左右的中國產Hybrid車型，替2025年全面邁向新能源車款邁出明確的一步。
