HONDA與SONY合資移動公司宣布成立，將於2025年推出首部電動車

過去汽車界和3C產業開發電動車，多半都是各玩各的，現在則有更多的業者選擇跨界合作，共襄大業，6月16日，SONY集團和HONDA兩家公司簽署聯合協議，各出資50:50，成立Sony Honda Mobility Co., Ltd 索尼本田移動公司，將共同生產開發高附加價值的純電動車，並提供服務移動，首批電動車將於2025年上市販售。

在展示了兩款電動概念車之後，SONY在 2022 年初宣布正在尋找合作夥伴，以進入電動車的領域。3 月初，SONY找上了HONDA，雙方決定籌組一家資本 50:50 的合資企業，今日公布公司的正式名稱，Sony Honda Mobility ，將於今年底前成立，企業總部位於東京。雙方昀電動車銷售計畫於2025年開始，屆時SONY和HONDA也將開始提供移動服務。

其他合作細節目前公布不多，官方訊息只是確認兩家公司將如何分配責任。SONY HONDA移動公司將利用HONDA的尖端的環境和安全技術、移動開發能力、車身製造技術和售後服務管理經驗。而於此同時，SONY將提供其在影像、傳感、電信、網絡和娛樂技術的開發和應用方面的專業知識，以實現與用戶和環境緊密結合的新一代移動和移動服務，繼續向前發展。

兩家公司合作的目標在於提供高附加值的電動車（EV），而原SONY發表的電動概念車Vision-S 01四門房車和Vision-S 02跨界休旅車，屆時是否就是雙方合資企業第一波電動車，目前可謂言之過早。值得一提的是HONDA在汽車界算遲到的學生，目前已和通用汽車合作，採用通用汽車的 Ultium 平台。

HONDA的長期目標是包括到本世紀末將電池驅動和燃料電池的電動車的銷售量可提高到全球全年際銷售總量的 40%。到 2035 年，該百分比預計將增長到 80%，然後在 2040 年將完全中止使用內燃機。為了實現這一目標，一個全新的專用電動平台將在這個10年的下半首次亮相。被稱為 e:Architecture，它將先針對北美市場開發一系列電動車，接著再前進其他市場。而另外HONDA目前與通用汽車的合作，則是在 2024 車型年在北美市銷售掛著HONDA和ACURA商標的大型電動SUV。
