HONDA全新2023年式Civic Type R，早在今年四月間已在日本鈴鹿賽道寫下單圈最速紀錄，6月間更前進德國紐柏林賽進行性能測試，前兩次露臉，都是帶著全車裝現身，事實上，一年前，Civic Type R的原型車就已亮相，而原廠已確認Civic Type R將在7月20日全球首發，如今進入倒數計時，HONDA在首之前開始展開熱身，今日公布最新的預告影片，原本的車身偽裝已經卸下，這回讓我們看到全新Civic Type R車頭露出忿怒鳥的兇悍表情。

將在北美首發的Civic Type R選在7 月 20 日發表，而這一天也是美國阿波羅11號火箭登陸月球53周年的日子，兩者之間也許沒有甚麼關聯性，不過就Civic Type R來說，這一天意義重大，因為HONDA正加速電動化，2030年電動車占比要達到40%以上，2040年則完成全面電動化，而此次也將是電動化之前，最後一個世代的純內燃機動力的Cvivic Type R問世的日子。

全新Civic Type R還是配置汽油動力，同樣採前輪驅動配置，它的原型車在4月間於日本鈴鹿賽道創下 FWD 前驅車最速記錄，比之前的記錄保持者快了一秒。因此，它的動力並沒有如網路上傳言具備400匹馬力。而上周網路上流出有五種外觀色Civic Type R間諜照，包括黑色、白色、灰色、紅色和藍色，但沒有先前原型車的鳳凰黃。

至於造型設計，由於標準版的 11 代Civic相較於前一代，只是溫和式的進化，因此，Civic Type R和前一代相比，應該也是遵循11代Cvivc，改款也比較保守，新的預告影片從紐柏林和鈴鹿賽道測試做為出發，影片後半則揭露Civic Type R的車頭造型，影片中我們看到原來前保桿巨大的進氣口被保留下來，同樣車尾巨大的尾翼也被延續下來。水箱罩採蜂巢式網格，車頭燈造型變得更銳利，為向兩側踏擔薩帶著L形上燈眉的全新計燈組。
