雖然銷售冠軍寶座已被TOYOTA豐田旗下的新戰力Corolla與Wish奪回，但是本田HONDA Fit打破豐田的不敗神話依舊是事實，並建立起新一代的小型車典範，即使是產品週期已經過了一半，HONDA Fit在日本汽車市場依舊保有前三名的銷售實力，如今Fit向自我挑戰，又創下本田車廠的新紀錄。
根據資料顯示，自2001年6月上市以來至九月底（第28個月），在日本國內累計銷量已高達50萬輛（2001/6/22~2003/9/30累計銷售502746輛），這也是本田汽車旗下單一車種的最快銷售紀錄，而這還不包含Fit在本田海外市場的銷售持續成長。
同時Fit自上市以來，憑藉其獨特的設計風格與低油耗表現（一公升可跑23公里）、乘坐空間寬敞等優點，獲得了廣大消費者的好評，並位居2002年日本國內乘用車銷售排名第一位，是款不可多得的好產品，可惜台灣國內因為先前代理權的糾葛與新公司台灣本田的策略導向，這款相當適合台灣環境的小車，引進的機會可說已越來越渺茫。
